Minutes7:03 Meeting called to order- Patrick Introduction of Residents at the Meeting Last Meeting Minutes: - Lisa Angela Miller motion to approve, Michelle 2nd, motion passed Treasurer Report: - Curt Current balance $9641.91 $2500 in dues/weed treatment came in since last meeting on may 15th Expenses - advertising brochures, party expenses, new resident gifts - $412.20 Motion to approve Lisa Benson, 2nd Angela Miller Loni Voigt and Tom Larson from Lake Charlotte Recent meeting with County Soil and lake members: An ongoing 2 year study on our lake, currently in year 2, looking for causes last 3-5 years the water has changed color dramatically. Trying to find a neighborly solution to fix it so Martha water doesn’t flow into Charlotte but directly to the Crow river. Entertaining an idea of a Pipeline that goes from our lake to the existing Charlotte pipe line that goes down 33-44 to the crow river. Any idea would need 75% of our lake Property owner's to agree. Per DNR 'Northern d? water in Rogers - buried Pipe to pump in our lake, temporary. Could lower it in 6 days then remove the pump. Do preliminary vote to see if 75% would buy in, then Charlotte could get a closer estimate. Asking us to send an email out to our residents to see if there is an interest. Pump powered by diesel - electric; 74 decibels, vs 3-phase Electric that would costs $2000 each time it would turn on and off, Control Enclosure 6-8 feet long, 3 feet wide, in a cabinet which would power a 50 horse pump would be straight out from the landing. Charlotte would have a contract drawn up. What happens when we start in the spring at 6 in below the OHW at the culvert, then we get lower as the summer progresses, then we are super low. Concerns - noise, smell, use of the landing (pump in the way?) Asked Charlotte to make a one page data sheet, they will provide to us in a week or so Progress on 2 2025 Projects: (from Dan Nadeau-Senior Resource Conservationist Wright Soil and Water Conservation District) addressing Farm Field Watershed Issues impacting our Lake -Patrick, Gary Anderson, Al Miller, Dave Tabbut
Estimated Association contribution $1200 to contractor after project is completed. Propose to leave a green space by the road and around tile inlet? Is it possible to lease the land closest to our inlet from the owner? Average $300 per acre. Would the DNR ever lease it? It would be a good investment for the state. To be completed after harvest this fall. 2026 Recharge "2012-13 Minnesota filter" ? Curly Leaf Pondweed Update:-Patrick
